Copy Discord and Telegram signals to FTMO MT5
Route supported trading instructions from a source you are authorized to use to a configured FTMO MetaTrader 5 account, with your own sizing and account controls.
Signal Copier Pro is execution software, not a signal provider or a compliance guarantee. Before enabling automation, verify the current FTMO terms for your exact product, stage and account type. FTMO currently lists MetaTrader 5 as a supported platform, but platform support alone does not establish that a particular third-party signal strategy is permitted.
Check these FTMO details before connecting
- Account stage and type. Evaluation, FTMO Account, Standard and Swing conditions are not identical.
- Automation and strategy. FTMO says legitimate algorithmic trading and EAs may be used, while warning that third-party strategies can create capital-allocation or prohibited-practice risks.
- News and holding rules. FTMO states that Swing accounts differ from Standard accounts for news, overnight and weekend restrictions. Evaluation-stage rules can also differ from FTMO Account rules.
- Instrument specifications. Contract size, trading hours, leverage and symbol names should be checked in the selected platform.
What the copier can control—and what it cannot
| Guardrail | What it does |
|---|---|
| Risk-based sizing | Calculates a requested size from your configured risk and the parsed stop distance, subject to broker specifications and available margin. |
| Account limits | Applies the limits you configure. Incorrect or outdated settings remain incorrect; check them against the current FTMO terms. |
| News and session controls | Can skip instructions according to configured controls. This does not guarantee that every relevant event, closure or rule is captured. |
| Execution trail | Records parsing and execution outcomes so accepted, rejected, delayed and unfilled orders can be distinguished. |
| Market outcome | Cannot guarantee entry price, fills, stop-loss execution, profits, challenge success or rule compliance. |
FTMO signal copier setup
- Confirm the official rules. Record the account stage, Standard or Swing type, loss objectives, holding restrictions and current instrument conditions.
- Connect an authorized source. Add the intended Discord or Telegram channel and verify that a new test message reaches the application.
- Connect the correct MT5 account. Check the login, server and terminal. FTMO also offers other platforms, but this workflow is specifically for MT5.
- Configure conservative controls. Set sizing and account limits from the current rules. Do not copy a provider's lot size without adapting it to the account.
- Test and monitor. Use an audition or non-live workflow first. Compare the original message, parsed instruction, requested order and terminal result.
Common reasons an FTMO signal does not execute as expected
- No source message: verify channel selection, permissions and connection status.
- Message received but skipped: review parsed fields, risk controls, news/session rules and the selected target account.
- Terminal rejection: check symbol mapping, market hours, volume constraints, margin and the exact MT5 error.
- Different fill price: spread, liquidity, delay and order type can move execution away from the signal's quoted entry.
- Rule uncertainty: pause automation and confirm the current rule directly with FTMO rather than relying on a marketing page or old setting.

Review the workflow before enabling live copying
Check requirements, configure the account and test the signal path before relying on automation.
